My students are wonderful young people that are excited to learn and grow into adults. I teach life skills at a high school in Texas; most of my students have been diagnosed as having Autism, a severe Intellectual Disability, a severe physical impairment, a speech impairment, or a combination of more than one of the above. My students are fantastic young people who have the desire to learn and grow, and hopefully through a lot of practice and learning they will be able to become more and more independent leading into their adult lives. I absolutely love my students; there is never a day that they do not make me smile and laugh in some way. I also coach some wonderful female athletes on the school's softball team. As a coach, I try to not only focus on improving their athletic skills, but also teaching them life lessons that they will take with them and use for the rest of their lives. I enjoy coaching them!
