I teach K3 Head Start at Alexander Mitchell Public School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are 3 years old when they start There are two sessions. The first begins at 7:35 am and ends at 10:35am. The second starts at 11:20am and ends at 2:20pm. I can have up to 15 students in each session. Head Start serves children that are economically disadvantaged. Children come from many different cultures. Some start school with needed social and cognitive skills while others do not. The classroom is child-centered. I teach whole and small groups. There are 12 free choice centers to choose from during free choice. All centers are set-up to support and enrich the Head Start curriculum. Donations to my classroom projects will provide needed items not only for this year but years to come!!!
