I am currently a second grade teacher in a Title One School, which serves approximately 700 students in grades Preschool-5th grade. Through my education and teaching experience, I have grown to value the importance of education. Every year I am looking for ways to enhance my lessons to keep all students engaged. I currently have 21 students and they are all unique. As a class we use collaboration, communication and problem solving to make it through the day. I have several students that are reading and writing below grade level, and then I have several high students functioning on a 3rd grade level. I want to be able to reach all of the learners in my classroom by teaching to each child and their needs. "If a child can't learn the way we teach it, maybe we should teach the way they learn."
