We are a Title I school that provides 100% free breakfast and lunch to our students. Some of the students attend supper club after school. We have an 70% EL population. In Kindergarten, most of my students come to school without knowing their name, letters, sounds, or numbers before the first day of school. Many of those students come from homes that only speak Spanish at home and they only practice English at school. Even with this demographic, most of the students are well behaved and want to learn. Seeing the huge progress from my students is amazing toward the end of the year.
