When students write for no purpose, it's like dressing-up to stay home. It's no fun. Having a GoPro and a wireless mic will allow me to record my students doing and talking about the things they love. They can post their videos on a personal blog or share them on our website. The posts that students develop in connection with their videos will require them to write with passion. The best lesson a teacher can teach is one where the students get excited and want to share their work! This process gives them a purpose for their writing and a reason to be proud of it!
