While our classroom environment is safe and comfortable, our seating needs some major improvement. Many of my students have a hard time sitting still and concentrating and may find themselves expending their energy in ways that others find disruptive. Flexible seating helps students expend their energy through natural movement and flexibility that the furniture provides. I look forward to providing different seating options, like the wobble chairs, to help meet my kids' various needs in the classroom. As an educator, I see a need for different tools to use when students are not focused. My goal is to provide effective instruction as well as expecting their best every day. Kids will work hard for you when they see that you genuinely care about their needs. I think giving them some independence will empower them to take ownership of their learning and choices.
