Our students engage, participate and utilize Papaku Makawalu. Papaku Makawalu is the avenue in which our students access ancestral knowledge and connect back to their history and culture. We believe that our past, our history and our culture defines who we are and it is our foundation for the present and the pathway into our future. In this 21st century, technology is the present and the future. It is critical for our students to understand and be comfortable with using technology. Although our history and culture grounds us, mastering technology and all its advances will prepare our students for their future. The wireless Elmo pen tablet and projector as well as the smart TV will help students implement technology into the classroom via instruction and collaboration--collaboration between teacher and student as well as between student and student. These technological tools will help connect our students past, present and future.
