Ambitious fifth graders enter my classroom each day, eager and ready to learn. Students work hard to conquer their math goals and celebrate their growth of success. Students in my classroom enjoy collaborating with peers on various math concepts, connecting math to their everyday life, and working hard to meet their goals. Our Title 1 middle school, aids nearly 400 fifth and sixth graders. About 70% of these students receive free or reduced rate lunch. I am fortunate to have approximately 80 of these fifth graders in my math classroom each day. I work hard to make my students feel safe, motivated, and engaged within our learning environment.
