The students in the Bradley Broadcasting program are interactive in concepts, methods and hands-on activities. They produce a TV newscast each weekday that airs on a local cable channel in the Chattanooga region. My students compete each year in SkillsUSA at the state level in TV News Production as a team of four. We have won state championships - gold medals in '16, '17, '18, '19, '21, and '22. This enabled us to compete at nationals representing the state of Tennessee. We also have a Rockband class consisting of working musicians and tech students. Think 'School of Rock!' We record a full length CD which is available on iTunes under the name "Quadrant D" BCHS Rockband. Then the students take the show on a road in a community tour. In 2016, we performed on stage with the band Foreigner which was amazing! The mixed educational concept of recording and touring is unlike any other as a high school experience.
