Our current classroom situation does not promote the best possible environment for learning. The desks are uncomfortable, small, and they make my student's hinnies hurt. With new chairs and a table for collaboration, the learning environment will improve substantially. AVID supports many group projects and our current classroom furniture is not conducive to these efforts. Also, I am teaching using Google Classroom to give them a strong start for high school and college 1:1 learning and tables better suit these needs. Eventually, we want everyone to have flexible seating, but we have to start somewhere. Please help my students have a desirable place to learn.
