It allows students that are struggling with reading grade level texts to access grade level curriculum. It can be used in all subject areas by any student in need. The pen either reads the text out loud or translates the text out loud. It can also help the student decode difficult words. Therefore, students who who are able to read texts but struggle with higher level words can share the pen when they need it. For students who need extra support, the pen can read or translate the entire text, if they choose.
