Our school is located in an area with an extremely high poverty rate. My students are so full of potential. I was so excited to hear them ask me if they could read a book after they've finished working instead of me instructing them to read. They're like little sponges when it comes to education, because they soak up everything. I would like to continue to provide them with the foundational skills needed to be successful in the upper grades and later on in life. I would like for my students to have the same access to resources that other students in more privileged neighborhoods have.
