In the pre and post Covid19 world, it is my responsibility to ensure our highest level learners are accessing high interest, challenging curriculum. These units will be utilized with the groups I meet with at grades 2 - 5. In groups of approximately 8-12, students will work to make connections, discover relationships, and analyze problems for a solution beyond their grade level. Discovery through rich projects that blend both hands on and digital opportunities will expand knowledge, offer additional perspectives and weave critical thinking skills into everyday learning. With the opportunity and access to cross-curricular units that blend reading and science, critical thinking and math, and provide students the chance to debate, research, formulate and defend their opinions as well as create products to demonstrate their knowledge, my students are sure to continue to flourish as the high level learners they have been recognized to be. My students, from a wide variety of background will get instruction that exceeds grade level expectations and supports them as they flourish as critical thinkers and high level learners. In each of the grade levels I work with, in each of the groups, my students will benefit from researching, analyzing, and thinking critically about what we are learning.
