My students must be able to read books that keep up with social injustices. Providing students with these topics will assist them in not only growing in knowledge but, it will be the building blocks for future learning. These materials will provide the students with the opportunity to have literature circles. Along with materials to complete hands-on projects on the reading material. After our book clubs, the students will research the problems presented in the literature and come up with their own solutions. This helps the students learn that they can control the narrative and inspire them to become future leaders.
