I have a group of 30 challenging African- American young ladies and gentlemen. They live in a high poverty urban area. The students I work with need so much because of some of their disabilities. I am constantly thinking about ways to keep them actively engage. I like to create pieces of art that connect to each lesson I teach. We do a lot of writing and we publish a lot of our pieces, so I need basic art materials like paints, brushes, markers, staple guns, canvas paper, calligraphy pens, and color markers.

About my class
