Reading should be fun and interesting while allowing the reader to also build higher order thinking skills no matter what level students are at. A diverse classroom library is a way to foster a love of reading and motivate students through choice. They practice independence by finding books that interest them and learn to find books that best suit them. A well-stocked classroom library can help students stay engaged in reading and discover new titles, authors, and genres.
