Students are learning to love reading AND understand a new language at the same time in Spanish 1 and Spanish 2. This will be done through student choice during free reading time. Student engagement and learning will grow with more relevant and interesting books in the target language. This is why we need to expand our small library! With a variety of books at different language levels, students will be more likely to enjoy reading time in class by finding a book that is comprehensible and matches their interests. Students may become intrinsically motivated to read and learn more as a result of this project!
