The students I teach science to come from a very diverse socioeconomic background. Many may not pursue science beyond high school, but with the technology I am incorporating into the classroom they will be ready for today's technological workforce. Lathrop High School is located in the heart of Alaska, and the has the most diverse group of young adults in the region. These students come from all walks of life. Many students entering my class have never used an IPad in the classroom. My high school is classified as a low-income school and has 40% free lunch.
