These lollypop paddles and striking objects will allow my students to improve striking and hand-eye coordination. We currently have a set of paddles for station work only. By getting a classroom set of materials, students will be able to participate in whole class activities and have the proper time to explore and learn how to use the equipment over time. These paddle activities are a stepping stone to more advanced racquet sports such as badminton, tennis, and pickleball, all lifetime activities. Proper hand-eye coordination builds strong connections to learning in the classroom. Decoding, reading, and handwriting require students to have good hand-eye coordination. By focusing on developing eye hand coordination in physical education, will help prepare the student for learning in all classrooms. Students will also have the opportunity to be lifelong learners of fitness and racquet activities.
