We digest great books together as a class. We take notes, daily quizzes, and write essays. Our books (and our students) do not gather dust. All our students learn and participate. We have the flexibility to meet students where they are at. We encourage effort and risk taking while generously rewarding effort. Our students face numerous socioeconomic obstacles. Improving reading comprehension scores is the key to improved standardized testing and greater academic opportunity for our students. Our students are deserving and appreciative of the opportunities that you are helping to provide them.
