As you can imagine, returning the school after a year and a half of remote learning has been tough on students. Most haven't had the opportunities to use their interpersonal skills to problem solve and resolve conflicts since early 2020. Because of the challenges they faced during remote learning, many students will thrive with extra support and positive reinforcement. I have the pleasure of working with some of the most thoughtful, resilient, and hard-working students, and these incentives will make a huge difference for their learning by providing the structure, motivation, and positive classroom climate they have been craving since the 3rd grade. While it may seem like this project is just a bunch of toys, these incentives will be strategically used to promote self-regulation and effective conflict resolution among the 5th grade students struggling most with the transition back to in-person learning. Your donation means the world to me, my students, and my school-THANK YOU!
