As an art teacher, it is my goal to provide a fun and well-rounded art experience for my students. It is imperative that they are exposed to a variety of art mediums and techniques. Printmaking is an essential part of any art curriculum; it helps students think, problem-solve, and create in a different way. Unlike other two-dimensional mediums, printmaking has the element of surprise. More often than not, the final outcome is not what they would expect! That is why printmaking is so exciting! Pablo Picasso once said: "Give me a museum and I will fill it". Just like Picasso, with your help, my students will be able to fill our school hallways with beautiful prints for our school community to enjoy. These printmaking kits and supplies will not only allow my students to learn different printmaking techniques but also gain confidence in themselves by learning to safely handle tools that they have never been exposed to before. Creativity is like magic. It's a superpower. Help me give my students their artistic wands and capes, so they can soar high!!
