Au-some Abilities! My classroom is full of amazing, wonderful, intelligent, and loving children! It is my honor to teach students with Autism. They have taught me to be a better teacher! I teach students who are non-verbal, partly verbal, or very verbal. I want them to all be able to communicate with one another effectively. Lack of sign language is a huge barrier for them. Having a class-wide ASL program would close some of the social gaps for them. ALL of my students have unique and individual sensory needs, and method of learning to be successful. I want nothing more than to be their teacher and to provide the most enriching learning environment for each of them every moment of every day. My students are the light of my day and the joy in my heart. I am blessed to be able to go to work everyday and to embrace the light that each student provides. Please help me to give them tools to be more successful every day!
