How do we decide how large to make a building? What effect does movement have on the way a space is designed? How do engineers make decisions about the structures they design? We will be starting a computer science and robotics program for students in my Title 1 5th grade. Students focused on their learning will be the first with an opportunity to code these rolling robots. The focus will be on reviewing the math concepts learned in class around geometry, volume, and multiplication to help students understand the impact of math on engineering choices made in the real world.
