Over Christmas break, I was able to use funding from my own pocket to begin the transition to flexible seating in my classroom. The students now have exercise balls, a couple stability cushions, lap trays, crate seats, and resistance bands. My students LOVE the flexibility that these items have provided so far in our classroom. I've noticed that not all of these options are beneficial for all of my students. Some students need more desk height options while others need more options in order to sit comfortably on the floor or at the carpet. With more seating options available, my students will be able to best pick the individual seating choice to fit their needs for the activity at that time. The seating options will provide movement that will allow my students to concentrate on the learning at hand while feeling comfortable in the classroom. My hope is to be able to provide enough seating options for all of my stu
