Woodwind instruments require many different items to allow students to grow as musicians. Two of these items are the mouthpiece and ligature which hold the reed onto the mouthpiece. The students will use these items to play music at home, at school, and in community performances. Mouthpieces make a huge difference in the sound of the instrument, and our students are ready to move from beginning notes to advanced tone development in their music-making. These mouthpieces and ligatures will increase the ability of the student to play at a high school level instead of continuing with their middle school sound.
