In my classroom we work a lot in small groups vs. the students in their desks and the teacher in the front of the class lecturing. Teaching is no longer done in a "traditional" way or at least not in my classroom. We move, we dance, we sit and stand all over the classroom. Integrating hand held technology allows for more collaboration between students to occur a lot more freely and more often. Having iPads in the hands of my students will also allow my students to take control over their own learning! Having hand held technology like iPads in our small groups would increase the level of engagement, excitement towards learning as well as provide endless possibilities for learning through technology!
