Middle school in America is awkward enough for anyone, but for students who don't speak English it is especially challenging. These English as a Second Language materials will allow me to build from small word identification to full sentences in the English language for a group of students who are ready to learn and participate with their peers. The materials selected will help me reach my students at all levels of language acquisition and enhance their desire to learn the English language, which in turn increases their academic success in all classes. The cards will allow them to build their confidence in word identification and sentence structure. The games will help them practice communicating with each other in English which will build confidence to use English with teachers and peers. Thank you so much for considering helping these students excel in middle school!
