What? You teach middle school? That's such a tough age! When you tell people you spend your entire day with 7th graders, their facial expressions say it all. This throwable ball microphone will not only help amplify our voices, it will also give students a tangible (and FUN) signal of when to talk verses when to listen. Our school building is nearing 100 years old, and the window unit in the classroom is extremely loud. There have been times when I've had to turn off the air conditioner so that conversations could be conducted at acceptable noise levels. By funding this project, you will allow me to use my students' strength (talking) to build towards their weakness (talking)!
