We have a diverse and eclectic mix of students from ages 14-18. We are a Title 1 school within a unique demography of large populations of Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders and Asians that are at high risk for chronic diseases in obesity, hypertension and diabetes. The classes have general ed, special ed and English language learners. Our goals are to improve cardiovascular fitness and health education in our curriculum. We have a cinder track and do not have a pool, however we have stadiums and do a full set and run/walk miles on a weekly basis. However, for those who are unable to run or have medical issues with difficulty walking or running, riding a stationary bike would be the best ALTERNATIVE. We are seeking donors to fund the equipment to ride at least five computers with programs to use with a Zwift bike that tracks caloric expenditure and variety of courses to track mileage and individualize the routes.
