Research shows that students do their best learning when they are comfortable, but most classrooms are provided with limited seating choices. Currently, my students have the choice of sitting at traditional tables with school chairs, on pillows on the floor, or with lap desks. This project will provide my students with wobble cushions so they have more choices as to where they sit so they can do their best learning, whether that be while they are working in a small group, reading in reading nook, or doing guided reading stations. I have noticed that when my students are able to choose their seating, they are much more engaged and take ownership of their own learning.
