The items that I chose really target place value. I have noticed my students struggling with regrouping and these base ten blocks are exactly what they need. I especially love that they are magnetic, that will prevent them from dropping and losing pieces. They help students physically represent what they're learning so they can develop a deeper understanding of the meaning of each concept. Base ten blocks are so versatile. They can help students with multiplication and division, along with number concepts, as well as place value. These items would make learning these concepts much more effective.
