This year is a special year for my 3rd grade ICT class -- for some, it is the first time in over a year that they will be stepping foot inside the school. This is the year that my students will finally have a sense of "normalcy" once again. The isolation of the pandemic, along with the crime and violence they see out their windows everyday, has severely taken a toll on my student's mental health. With the help of these materials, you will be a valuable asset in helping increase my student's quality of life and mental health. Studies indicate that most children learn better when their hands are active and funneling expandable energy in this manner, and allows them to better focus on what they are trying to learn. In addition to the improved learning benefits, fidget toys can also reduce anxiety and stress. These tools will be integrated into every day lessons, as well as used for when my students need a brain break. Thank you in advance for supporting 21 students' learning experience within this challenging year ahead.
