We have the room and plan, now we just need the sensory items. We have wonderful students that want to learn, but sensory overload can overwhelm them and get in the way. All the items I’m asking for will go into our sensory room for our Special Educaton students and any regular education students that just need a break to release tension that life deals them. My special young students have difficulty expressing emotions. This room will help them release the negative emotions they can not express properly and be able to have a safe environment to be able to learn. The inflatable Sensa Rocker with balls can be calming or lots of fun! Perfect for children with sensory processing disorders, the Safe Place School Bus provides a soothing and comfortable place for children to read, play, or just have quiet time, the vibrating pillows helps calm anxiety and hyperactivity, The PeaPod offers a perfect way to apply gentle deep touch pressure and provides a calming space, the Stepping stones help with focus and sensory touch, the squishy hand prints Increase tactile awareness during hand activities, the Balance board helps with coordination and focus, the season squeeze fidget and yuck e ball are for the fidgetters, the prisms light has changing colors for visual stimulation. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
