As the reading interventionist, I work with students who struggle with reading. They can feel defeated because learning to read is difficult and it is my job to have educational and interesting activities to improve their reading. The earlier I can intervene on this learning difficulty, the better. My school has breakfast served daily for every student and many receive free/reduced lunch. We are approximately 80% poverty.
