Phonics is taught daily in our classroom. We love our phonics program but it didn't come with books like most programs do. Our students need opportunities to apply what they have learned by reading different texts. After we teach a sound or rule, the students will be able to practice the concept by reading these books. Not only will it help strengthen their reading abilities, they will also enjoy reading the books due to the animal theme. "A book is a gift that you can open again and again"- Garrison Keillor This project will help make our students successful and independent readers!
