Many of my art students are Kinesthetic learning. They thrive when they are creating art with their hands. Building with clay gives them an image to focus on and keeps them engaged. Unfortunately the school does not have a kiln for students to create and build clay images to glaze and fire. But, they can still be creative by making coil pots, vases, statues and plaques with air drying clay. Exposing students to a plethora of opportunities comes at a cost. In order to continue to create successful learning opportunities for the sixth, seventh and eighth grade students that I come into contact with, I need your help. The district’s budget cannot accommodate all of the art supplies needed, but the students’ needs still have to be met. Your generous donation will improve the quality of education for my students. Allowing children to build and create images that they are proud of makes learning fun!
