Teaching young kids, you have to be creative. From powerpoint lessons, curriculum based teaching, watching videos, to using fidgets to help someone who's experiencing anxiety. I need a variety of tools in my toolbox to be able to continue helping these students. Being at an elementary school, bibliotherapy, which is using books and stories to help teach a lesson or skill and fidgets are the two biggest most used items for me. As one student needs a fidget, I let them pick one out and I allow them to keep it as long as they need it. While I am more than happy to give anything out to my students if they need it, this also means my inventory runs low. I'd love to always have these items available when needed in order to continue supporting my kids.
