The things I'm requesting seem very basic but it's these basic things that make our learning more engaging and hands-on. When basic classroom materials aren't in the classroom, it's really difficult to take learning "to the next level." Here is how we'd use the following: * Scissors and glue sticks will help with our word sorts and differentiated spelling groups, where we cut out and glue our words weekly. * Two sharpeners will assist students with sharpening pencils in two different corners of the classroom rather than waiting at one, minimizing distractions. * Ti-10 calculators will properly "teach" students how order of operation and pre-algebra are done without just displaying an answer. * 2 Chromebooks will help students with typing and researching on a daily basis, rather than once a week in the computer lab (if we're lucky). * A printer will not only be used to print student items by the teacher, but the students can print their documents and researches directly!
