My students need HOKKI stools that allow movement by transforming stationary sitting into an activity. Many of my students struggle to stay still during the day. I often let them stand or choose their own special place in the classroom to work. They either tap their feet, bounce their knees or even shuffle their feet. "If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn" Ignacio Estrada. It is difficult for them to concentrate on staying still and focus on completing their work at the same time. I have to meet them on their level. They have to be given a chance. Not everyone can work in complete silence and sitting perfectly still. If allowing a student to wiggle helps them to create their best work, then they will wiggle!
