Our focus this year is centered in enhancing students' ability to be critical-thinkers, creatively-challenged, precise-communicators, and courageous-collaborators! By giving our school community access to the wonderful tools in this project, we (as their teachers, cheerleaders, and facilitators) will be able to foster these critical 21st century skills in our young learners and transform them into confident innovators equipped with the ability to solve problems that they aren't even aware exist yet! By equipping them with the ability to tackle the unfamiliar and the confidence to learn from mistakes, we are preparing them for the world that they will create and master. With these resources, students will be able to begin and participate in our very first robotics club. Dash and Dot from Wonder Workshop are specially designed for young inventors. "Dash & Dot are characters that ignite curiosity and confidence while providing fun ways of learning the essential skills of collaboration, communication, and digital literacy." Little Bits are magnetic, color-coded, reusable electronic building blocks to power inventions through circuit building. "LittleBits makes a platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks empowering everyone to create inventions, large and small."
