The students who come into my classroom have many different issues that they face on a daily basis. Finding something that motivates them to learn is a struggle. Many come from low income families making it difficult to have the most motivating materials available to them. Graphic novels are not only a form of literature that is motivating but also one that pushes my students to work on reading and language skills. This will help to close the achievement gap between the students at my school with students around the state. Please help my students close the gap and improve their skills in a fun and exciting way.
