These materials will provide my students the opportunity to read a variety of genres that will expand their knowledge and continue to foster their love of learning. I chose books that were mentor texts for our required unit of study in Language Arts. Stone Fox is a book club book that will teach students about determination and going up against their fears. The addition of this book to our classroom will benefit students in a way that will change their outlook on their reading. As a class, we will be able to use the books that have been requested in larger quantities in our book clubs. Our book clubs are specifically designed to provide instruction for students who are reading on the same levels. Book club books are very scarce right now because we only have a few books that we have multiple copies of.
