Storyworks is a multigenre magazine which will allow my students to actively engage in creative ELA lessons. In one issue, students can analyze a text, explore the characteristics of poem, and act out read aloud plays based on myths, literature, and history. What better way to inspire students to read than to offer a resource that allows them to act out a play? Storyworks will allow my students to engage with a text rather than simply sit and read. This resource will help build a foundation for a love of reading which will benefit my students throughout the school year.
