Being at a new school and a first year teacher, these iPads would allow for so many opportunities to learn different content areas in a way that is relevant and engaging. For example, students can use iPads to learn trick photography to place themselves into historical photographs or paintings and learn about the topic in more depth. They can analyze a time period and truly understand how people felt, lived, and traveled. Fourth graders need to start learning how to use different modalities within cooperative groups due to the requirements of 21st century careers. How will students engage with each other while still using technology? Students can be divided into groups with one iPad and will have to collaborate and bounce ideas off of each other to create a technology based project. Being that iPads are easily mobile and accessible for students, the possibilities become endless in regards to content, engagement, and learning.
