My classroom is centered around the children collaborating and learning together. From the basic counting tools I ordered of the fish or vehicle counters will help the students in either interest area or during small group for counting, adding, and subtracting problems which the children will be able to have fun and learn within their group areas, to the more scientific and team building of a roller coaster or bridge designs. By having the roller coaster or bridge designs in the math area it will help the students process a plan, design, and build .The stand up magnetic write and wipe board is good for more than two students at a time to use either intertwine with the roller coaster or bridge designs by using one side to use to plan out while constructing the roller coaster or bridge design or using the other side for magnetic building.The geoboard will be used during interest area to help the students in creating different sizes of the same shape or helping them learn about fractions. My students will become overjoyed with the introduction of such fun activities and then be able to apply what they have learned to create masterpieces for the classroom areas will be worthwhile. I have seen my students gain an interest in the subject matter when they are introduced to a topic on the classroom smart-board prior to them going to specific classroom areas. By donating to my project and allowing me to gain these materials I feel my students will be able to creatively team build great STEAM based classroom projects.
