Hello! I am requesting many classroom items for my students such as a listening center/CD player, multicultural books, puzzles, games, whiteboards, and other hands on manipulative items. These items will enable my students to engage with our curriculum in more creative ways such as writing numbers, letters, math equations, and words during whole and small group lessons. The stereos and listening center will enable me to play songs, rhymes, rhythmic patterns, and books to not only help my ELL students progress with listening and speaking skills but to also bring joy and motivation to my students who learn best through auditory stimulation and music. The multicultural books that you provide will help my students engage with the text because it will enrich their understanding of their own cultures and the diversity of the world. The puzzles, games, books, and letter tiles, will offer fun and engaging ways for my students to learn numbers, letters, sounds, and words and help my students learn how to share and cooperate with one another while working on new skills. The bean bags that I am requesting will offer my students a comfy place to rest and read by themselves or with a buddy. The items that you help purchase for my classroom will allow me the opportunity to teach in more creative ways with hands-on materials that are proven to help young children learn new skills and succeed. Thank you for your donations and for supporting an urban school district. I am grateful for anything you purchase for my classroom and I am humbled to be teaching such an amazing group of kids.
