Flexible seating will give my students a chance to access their specific learning styles. These options will increase the accessibility of the classroom. Giving students the freedom to pick what option best suits them, provides them a chance to take accountability for their learning. I think that is the MOST important aspect of flexible seating. I want my students to realize that the choices they make define who they are, what they learn and where they will go in life. In order for them to realize this, I need to provide them the tools they need to be successful. The items I chose include 2 balance yoga balls (which will hep keep those wiggle-worms focused and moving), 2 giant comfy pillows (to be used in my reading nook, to serve as seating under a group discussion table), and 3 wobble chairs (perfect for students that need to move around to learn).
