My students love getting the chance to learn instruments, and are constantly asking to be taught how to play my ukuleles in class! Currently the only four ukuleles I have in my class personally belong to me making it hard to allow all the students a chance to learn. Learning to play ukulele in class will meet multiple standards, such as playing instruments, reading and notating music, composing and arranging, and analyzing performances. As my students progress they will be able to play in small groups or in a full string ensemble. Ukulele will help drive our coming performances with parents, and allow for the creation of a ukulele string ensemble. My main objective is to bring the joy of music to my students that don't enjoy singing, through the use of the ukulele!
