Our district lacks the money some basic school materials. The most expensive of these is quality scientific calculators. I usually provide paper and pencils and decorations etc, but calculators are a step too far for my budget (and the State of Pa budget apparently). I'm requesting seventy-seven Texas Instruments TI-15 Explorer Elementary Calculators. This model of scientific calculator is perfect for these kids. The TI-15 is simple enough for our lower students to use, but provide so many additional features that our highest students can really push their understanding. Great battery life, engaging design, and simple instructions really make this the ideal tool for our classroom here in North Philadelphia.
